“We may forgive but we shall never forget”
3rd March 2016 marked thirty years since the seven young apartheid activists were tragically and callously killed by the apartheid security forces during an operation planned with the help of an Askari.
To commemorate this date, the Deputy Minister of Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, Mr Mcebisi Skwatsha together with the families will be hosting a tea event. The event will be attendant by Minister Lynne Brown; Deputy Ministers Noma-India Mfeketo and Zou Kota-Fredericks
This main event will be preceded by a wreath laying ceremony at the Gugulethu Seven Memorial, near Fawu in NY 1, Gugulethu at 13H00, thereafter the Deputy Minister invites the families to join him for tea at his home in Malunga Park – 1 Thandeka Street, Gugulethu and then proceed to the main event at Kwezi Community Hall.
