Deputy Minister Skwatsha to Dedicate His 67 minutes by Planting Seeds in the Community Garden in Bonteheuwel and paint a House in Phillipi
On Monday, 18 July 2016, Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, Mr Mcebisi Skwatsha will dedicate his 67 Minutes of Mandela Day by planting seeds in the fruits and vegetables community garden and painting an elderly man’s house in Phillipi.

The food garden project is situated at the Rosewood Primary School (Netreg/Bonteheuwel). It is envisaged that community members will benefit by harvesting fruits, vegetables and start their own soup kitchen which will feed the needy people within the community and assist with the school’s feeding scheme.

This project is situated in an area with high levels of unemployment, poverty and gangsterism. The community approached the Deputy Minister requiring assistance in recapitalizing the garden which was started in 2015.
