Deputy Minister Skwatsha to handover 130 million in funding certificates to Land Reform beneficiaries
Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Mr Mcebisi Skwatsha will on Tuesday, 19 July 2016 be handing over more than R130 million in funding certificates to land reform beneficiaries in the Piketberg area in the Western Cape.

The Deputy Minister will award the certificates which serve as confirmation of funding allocated by the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform through its Recapitalisation and Development fund.

The allocation was made as part of development funds for farming projects to 184 beneficiaries.

The monies were allocated for production costs of agricultural initiatives, infrastructure, farm equipment, machinery, operational costs, farm Mentor Fees, operational costs, Orchard developments and Tunnel Structures.

The farms receiving recapitalisation funding include those situated as far afield as the Central Karoo, Cape Winelands, Overberg, Eden, West Coast and City of Cape Town District Municipalities.
