As part of our proactive District Based Stakeholder Engagement sessions, the Executive management at the Office of the Regional Land Claims Commissioner in Limpopo will on Wednesday, 21 November 2018 present land claimants around the Waterberg District with status report on progress made so far regarding settlement of their outstanding land claims.
The engagement session seeks to provide first-hand information with regard to the status of all outstanding land claims lodged before the cut-off date of 31 December 1998 in the area, in line with section 6(1)c of the Restitution of Land Rights Act (994) as amended. It also seeks to reassure claimants of the Commissions’ commitment to finalise all outstanding land claims, regardless of the little available resources.
All members of communities and individuals who have lodge their land claims with the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights before the cut-off date of 31 December 1998 deadline, Community representatives, family representatives, Landowners and interested parties whose properties are directly affected by land claims are welcome to join the session.
